Your basic rental includes:

Collision Damage Waiver, 24/7 Roadside assistance, Theft Protection (TP), Third Party Liability (TPL), Personal Accident Insurance, Local Taxes, Value Added Tax (VAT)., Unlimited mileage for daily contract 1 to 29 days, (monthly rental limit 5000 km, 1 AED for extra km), Free Modification (up to 24 hours prior to pick up time)

Required Extras to be paid on arrival

Airport Surcharge – This fee is charged as per actual airport terminal rates. If booking at the airport, it applies per delivery and must be paid separately upon arrival. It is not included in the offer.

The renter will be responsible for any fines, toll fees, and parking charges incurred during the rental period.

Driver requirements

Drivers must be at least 23 years old to rent a vehicle. Drivers under 25 years old will pay an additional Young Driver fee. These young drivers can only rent small, economy, and compact cars. (For details about the Young Driver fee and restrictions, see the "Young Driver terms" section.)

There is no maximum age limit for renting a car. There is no additional fee for senior drivers.

To rent a car from us, your driver's license needs to meet these requirements:

Driver License Requirements:

Your license must be issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year before your rental begins.

For GCC Residents:

You can use your GCC national license to rent a car if you also hold a GCC passport. (GCC countries: Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE)

For International Drivers:

You need both a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) and your original national driver's license.

Acceptable National Licenses (without IDP):

Albania, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China (with official translation), Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, USA

All other countries:

You require an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your national driver's license.

Important Notes:

The IDP must be valid and accompanied by your original national license. China's national license requires an officially approved translation for acceptance.

In addition to the previously mentioned documents, the renter will need:

Rental Age:

Minimum age to rent a car: 23 years old

Daily fee: 50 AED (capped at 1,000 AED per month)

Security Deposit

A deposit will be blocked on your credit card from the rental start date until 21 business days after the vehicle's return. The refund will be processed after that.

Deposit Amounts:

Deposit-Free Rental (at the rental desk)

The Renter can choose the Deposit-Free option at the beginning of the rental at the time of vehicle pick up for an additional cost which shall be paid via credit card (Visa /Master card /American Express only) in the renter’s name. An excess fee of AED 2,000 applies. Traffic fines must be settled immediately as notified, while toll charges are payable at the end of the rental period. In the event of any incident or accident, obtaining a police report is mandatory. The standard fuel policy applies, and any misuse may result in additional charges. For any charges incurred during the rental that are not settled at the time of return, the Renter allows DRIVUS to withdraw the due amount through the provided card.

Full Protection Rental

With Full Protection Rentals (Zero Excess coverage) which is booked via booking channel websites, the renter will not be liable for any deductible in case of accidental damage or theft, except in cases of negligence, violation of rental terms, or excluded damages such as lost keys, wrong fuel usage, or unauthorized driving. A police report is mandatory for all claims. Renter shall pay a security deposit of AED 1000; at the time of signing this agreement. This deposit shall be released after 21 to 27 working days from the date of return of the vehicles; further to deductions, if applicable.

Zero Deposit Rental (Pre-booked)

For Zero Deposit Rentals booked through booking channel websites, an excess fee of AED 2,000 applies. The rental amount must be paid exclusively via a credit card (Visa /Master card /American Express only) in the renter’s name. Traffic fines must be settled immediately as notified, while toll charges are payable at the end of the rental period. In the event of any incident or accident, obtaining a police report is mandatory. The standard fuel policy applies, and any misuse may result in additional charges. For any charges incurred during the rental that are not settled at the time of return, the Renter allows DRIVUS to withdraw the due amount through the provided card.

Payment Policy

A deposit will be blocked on your credit card for 21 working days after you return the vehicle. This deposit covers any penalties, tolls, or additional charges incurred during your rental. You can request an invoice for any deducted charges.

Please note: The American Express Credit, MasterCard Credit, Visa Credit, JCB Credit card must be valid for at least 3 months after drop-off.

Cash deposits accepted. Please allow 21 business days for your refund to be processed.

Not accepted:

• Someone else’s card (including family members)

Other Charges:

Traffic Fines: Pay all fines within 48 hours of receiving them.

Tolls & Damage: Settle these charges on the day you return the car.

Late Charges: Any charges added to your account after returning the vehicle will be deducted from your security deposit.

One-way Fee: A fee of 50 AED will be charged if you drop off the car at a different location than where you picked it up.

Booking Modifications: You can change your booking for free up to 24 hours before your pick-up time. If you change your booking within 24 hours of pick-up, a modification fee of 150 AED will apply.

Invoices: We can provide an invoice upon request.

Delivery/Collection: This service requires an advance request and additional fees will apply.

Vehicle Return Policy

Cleanliness: Return the vehicle clean, both inside and out. This includes removing all trash, sand, stains, and pet hair. Smoking, eating, and drinking are strictly prohibited in the vehicle.

Valet Fee: A valet cleaning fee of 600 AED will apply if the car is returned excessively dirty, with sand, stains, animal fur, garbage, or lingering odor.

Excessive Exterior Dirt: For vehicles returned with excessively dirty exteriors (as determined by DRIVUS standards), a separate cleaning fee of 150 AED may apply.

Geographical restrictions

Geographic Limits: DRIVUS rental vehicles must be driven within the United Arab Emirates only.

Driving Conduct: Off-road driving and reckless driving are strictly prohibited with DRIVUS vehicles.

Toll Fees (SALIK & DARB)

Tolls will be charged at actual rates, with an additional administration fee of AED 2 per crossing.

Rental Period and Return Policy

Breakdown Assistance:

In case of vehicle breakdown, DRIVUS Car Rental will provide a replacement car as soon as possible.

Do not attempt to repair the rented vehicle yourself without written permission from DRIVUS Car Rental.

To ensure a smooth return process, please return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when you picked it up.
